How many people are swapping?

Names (optional, one per line) No names? Hand out numbered tags; the number is the turn order. With names, the page shuffles them into a random order. Names stay in this browser tab and are never sent anywhere.

Steal limit per gift A gift is locked (safe) once it has been stolen this many times.

How to run a white elephant gift swap at work

Everyone brings one wrapped gift (agree a budget first) and puts it in the pile. Enter the number of people, press Draw turn order, and put this page on the TV in Full screen.
On their turn, a person either opens a new gift from the pile or steals an opened gift. If they steal, the person who lost the gift goes next and picks again. The page keeps track for you.
Each steal is counted. When a gift hits the steal limit it is locked and stays with its holder. The swap ends when every gift is open (and player #1 has had a final steal, if you switched that on).

Dice gift swap in 30 seconds

Sit in a circle with gifts in the middle. Switch to Dice swap, start a 3–5 minute timer, and pass a real die or tap the big die on screen. The page shows what each roll means: take a gift from the pile, pass left, pass right or swap. When the timer runs out, everyone keeps the gift in their hands.

Is it free?

Yes. The gift swap host is free to use as often as you like, with no account and no email. The printable pack is part of the paid party kit, but you don't need it to use this page.

What's the difference between white elephant, Yankee swap and a dice gift swap?

White elephant and Yankee swap are two names for the same open-or-steal game (use Swap & steal). A dice gift swap passes gifts around a circle based on die rolls, usually against a timer (use Dice swap).

How many steals should we allow?

Three steals per gift is the most common house rule; it keeps the game moving. For big groups (30+), try 2 steals and a 45-second turn timer.

Does it work for remote teams?

Yes. For a mailed gift swap, share your screen and let people "steal" the gift they saw unboxed on camera. The host runs the page.

Do you collect any data?

No. No analytics, no cookies, no trackers. Names and gifts stay in your browser tab and are cleared when you close it.
